Code of Conduct
Event Code of Conduct
We want everyone to learn and connect in a safe, welcoming and professional environment. This code applies to attendees, speakers, volunteers, partners, staff and every event-related space.
Expected behaviour
- Respect different backgrounds, identities, experience levels, perspectives and technical ability; use inclusive, professional language.
- Respect personal boundaries, privacy and explicit consent in discussion, questions, photography and social interaction.
- Follow staff guidance on safety, accessibility and event operations, and ask for help when you notice a risk.
Unacceptable behaviour
- Harassment, discrimination, humiliation, threats, stalking, bullying, or language and conduct that makes others unsafe.
- Unwanted physical contact or sexual attention, sustained disruption, non-consensual recording, exposing personal information, or deliberately obstructing the event.
- Putting solicitation, sponsorship benefits or social pressure ahead of another person's wishes or the event programme.
Reporting and response
If you experience or witness a problem, contact an identifiable event staff member immediately or email support@awscmd.tw. The organizing team will limit information to those who need it and prioritize the affected person's safety. Responses may include a warning, stopping the behaviour, removal from the event, or exclusion from future participation. Contact local emergency services first if anyone is in immediate danger.
Accessibility and assistance
Email us before the event if you need a step-free route, captions, seating or another participation adjustment. A request does not mean every option is already available, but it gives the team time to confirm a workable arrangement or alternative.
Scope
This code applies at the physical venue, in online meetings and community channels, during pre- and post-event activities, and in any interaction carried out on behalf of the event. The organizing team may adapt its response to the risk and circumstances.
